What are Zoats? (Zucchini + Oats = Zoats)

Zoats are the next step in porridge innovation and combines Zucchini (Courgette for those of us in the UK) and porridge oats. Let’s face it, Zoats has much nicer ring to it then “Coats”. We asked the porridge experts here at MOMA to explain why adding courgette into your porridge is a great idea and here’s what they said:
  • Courgette is packed full of fibre which is perfect for both slowing down digestion and keeping insulin levels even - both of which can keep you feeling fuller for longer
  • Courgette is incredibly low in calories, with just 17 calories per 100g. It also counts as one of your ‘5-a-day’ fruit and vegetable quota
  • They contain loads of healthy scientific words and vitamins like thiamin, pyridoxine, riboflavin and minerals like iron, manganese, phosphorus, and zinc
  • A single courgette provides more potassium than a banana. Potassium is known for it’s blood pressure lowering properties.
